How to Change the Charging Port on a 1200W Electric Dirt Bike

If your 1200W electric dirt bike isn’t charging properly, a faulty charging port could be the issue. Luckily, replacing it is a straightforward task that you can do at home with basic tools. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process.

What You’ll Need:

• Replacement charging port as pictured below

• Screwdrivers (Phillips)
• Multimeter (optional for testing)
• Safety gear (gloves and safety glasses)

Step 1: Ensure Safety

Before doing anything, make sure the bike is powered off and disconnected from the charger. If possible, remove or disconnect the battery to avoid any electrical mishaps.

Step 2: Access the Charging Port

• Find the charging port, the charging port on the Neo Outlaw 1200w Electric Dirtbike is on the side panel
• Unscrew and remove the side panel using a phillips screwdriver

Step 3: Remove the Old Charging Port

• Unscrew the charging port from the inside of the panel using a spanner
• Disconnect the plugs from the charging port to the connectors on the bike

Step 4: Install the New Charging Port

• Place the new charging port in the same position.
• Replace the charging port by reconnecting the 2 plugs on the charging port to the 2 ports coming from the bike
• Double-check the connections with a Multimeter if you have one.
