Customer feedback has helped shape the latest Surge 20". Riders wanted longer outings between charges, so we have replaced the previous 36V 5Ah battery with a larger 36V 10.5Ah battery. With more than twice the original capacity and the same 36V system, the upgrade means more time enjoying the ride before it is time to recharge.

Estimated riding time per charge

• Slow setting, 9.5 mph: up to 2 hours 40 minutes, compared with up to 1 hour 20 minutes with the previous battery.
• Medium setting, 13.5 mph: up to 1 hour 30 minutes, compared with up to 45 minutes previously.
• Fast setting, 19–20 mph: up to 50 minutes, compared with up to 25 minutes previously.

These riding times are estimates, not guaranteed runtimes. Rider weight, the load carried, terrain, speed and riding conditions all affect how long a charge lasts.
