Electric Ride On Cars

There are different types of electric ride on cars for different ages. 6v cars are suitable for ages 2-4 years old, while 12v electric cars are most suitable for ages 3 to 6 years. For children aged 3 to 8 years, we recommend 24v electric cars. We also stock kids’ go karts, kids’ quads and buggies, and kids’ ride on trucks which are all suitable for kids up to 8 years olds.

If you want the fastest electric ride on car, then 24 volt battery-powered cars and buggies are the fastest option. They are larger than 6v and 12v options, so are suitable for ages 3 to 8 years old. These cars will have no problem on grass, gravel or flat surfaces, provided they have rubber wheels to provide extra grip and go at speeds of 4 to 6 miles per hour.

Most cars have a maximum speed of around 2 to 6 miles per hour, depending on the size of the battery. 12v models usually reach speeds of between 2 to 4 miles per hour, while 12v battery-powered cars have speeds of about 3 to 5 miles per hour. 24v models reach a maximum speed of up to 9 miles per hour and are safer for older children who can handle higher speeds.

Yes, most of our cars are designed to be driven on grass, as long as the grass is not too thick or uneven. Some ride on cars  have rubber traction tyres that can handle various surfaces, including grassy areas. It’s always best to check the manufacturer's recommendations for the specific car that you are buying to ensure it is suitable for driving on grass.
